A workshop for young journalists was organized in Podgorica

Podgorica - A two-day workshop on the topic “Fact-checking for better journalism” for journalism students and young journalists was organized on 2nd and 3rd March in Podgorica.
This workshop is organized by Montenegro Media Institute, with the aim to provide journalism students and young journalists additional skills and tools for collecting information and debunking fake news, photo and video content.

Different media manipulation published by Montenegrin and regional media were analyzed by participants through open discussion and group works. Also, they have discussed about the importance of the implementation of the Code of Ethics through daily reporting.

This workshop is moderated by photo journalist Stevo Vasiljević and journalist Milica Bogdanović. Additional presentation on the topic “Where is professional journalism?” is prepared by famous journalist and professor from Novi Sad Dinko Gluhonjić.

The workshop is organized  with support of the Foreign Commonwealth Office, through British Embassy Podgorica, in cooperation with Albany Associates London and Mediacentre  Sarajevo and with support of South East European Network for Professionalization of Media (SEENPM).
